Foodcrumbles.com only collects such personal information that is necessary for you to access and use our services. Personal identification information is voluntarily submitted (e.g. by asking for your name or email address in order to subscribe to our mailing list or making an account or providing payment details to access our courses). Users may visit our site anonymously. Foodcrumbles.com makes use of log files. Comments & Contact forms
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you submit information through a contact form we collect the data shown in the contact form as well as the visitor’s IP address. We will store this information in our e-mail provider and will not use it for marketing purposes.

FoodCrumbles.com is an affiliate for bookshop.org, “an online bookstore with a mission to financially support independent bookstores and give back to the book community”. If you do not buy, but just browse on the FoodCrumbles store on Bookshop.com we will not receive any personal information about you. We only track the number of clicks through these links.
For our courses, we use a few dedicated tools to manage our students’ access. Signing up for a course is voluntary, the following tools are used.
We use LearnDash to sell/distribute our courses. We only collect data relevant to you being able to sign in to the course and to contact you with basic and introductory information. You may be asked to sign up for an e-mail list if you’re interested.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
- Send you information about your account and order
- Create your account
- Provide you with updates on the courses we provide
If you register a free account then we will store your email address. We store information about you for as long as your account exists. We store course progress, including completion status, quiz scores, assignments and/or essay submissions (if applicable). We will also store comments on courses, lessons, topics, assignments, and essays if you choose to leave them.
Only our administrators have access to your information such as:
- Order information such as your enrolled courses, course progress and username / email address.
- Any additional information added in your WordPress User Profile can also be visible to the administrator(s).
We use Stripe to process payments when purchasing a course. A link to their policy is provided upon check out and can be found here.
You have the option to voluntarily sign up for a newsletter. Upon signing up you provide us with your email address and name (optional) and give us permission to send you updates about the FoodCrumbles business.
You can always unsubscribe from our emails using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our emails. If you have any issues, please reach out directly and we’ll help you out.
